The Keshavraj Temple is one of the most beautiful places to witness the blessings of the Goddess of Nature. Asudbagh is at a distance of about 6 km from Dapoli on Dapoli-Harne road. The area is very beautiful and literally crazy.
A footpath leads down from Dabkewada. On both sides of the road, there are thick coconut groves, which have existed in this village for hundreds of years. The temple is built during the Peshwa period and the beautiful shadow idol of Lord Vishnu standing in the dim light of Samai captivates the mind. The temple faces south and the serene atmosphere of the area captivates the mind. There is an idol of Ganesha on the left hand side of the temple and the temple is paved with stone on all four sides.
This temple is also known as Keshavraj Deorai. The temple complex of Keshavraj with thick bushes on all four sides looks a bit mysterious. The perennial stream found in very few places in Konkan flows through this dense forest of Keshavraj. On the way to the temple, after crossing the bridge over the stream, steps are taken. Keshavraj is one of the best deities in Ratnagiri district.
Along the way, a variety of humus symbolizes wildflowers and rich forests in the surrounding forest.
Another feature of Keshavraj Deorai is that the water of the spring originating from the upper hills has been brought down from the stone panhali.
The water coming from the stone gomukha in the premises of Shri Keshavraj has been flowing for 12 months and it is cold and tasty.
Wandering in this romantic environment makes the mind happy. Keshavraj was aware of the existence of the Lord in the solitude, peace and nature of the area.
