The endless sea to the west, the village of Anjarle lost in the crowd of thickets, the Jog creek area in the distance, the winding road down the hill, the steps leading up to the temple from the village and the temple area surrounded by thick bushes. Too little to describe! There is little to commend the artistry of those who came up with the idea of setting up Shri Ganesha, the master of all arts, in such a suitable place.

The village of Anjarle is about 18 km from Dapoli to Kelshi. Before entering the village, it is situated on a hill on the right side of the hill. The road to the temple, which is situated in a scenic area, passes through thick bushes and there is a direct road for vehicles to the temple on the hill. The temple was established six hundred years ago. It is believed to have been made around 1430.

The beautiful idol of Lord Ganesha in the temple is three and a half to four feet tall and the images carved on the side of the idol are of Riddhi-Siddhi.

The earlier construction of this temple was made of wood. The present temple stands after its renovation in 1780. This temple is a masterpiece of Peshwa architecture. The surroundings of the temple are beautiful!
