The temple of Shri Chandikadevi is located at a distance of 5 km from Dabhol Bay and about 30 km from Dapoli. In a natural cave in the mountains, an idol of the goddess and a tomb have been erected in solid rock. Electricity is not used in the temple. The form of the Goddess, which is illuminated in the dim light of time, must be kept in the eye.
The structure of the cave is characteristic. When entering for the darshan of the Goddess, one has to go with humility. It is said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj visited this temple.
This ancient temple of Chandika Devi in Dabhol, which seems to be more mysterious than other temples, gives a different experience.
